Today, March 17 2011 marks the 150th Anniversary of Italian unification.To celebrate, there were many parades, fireworks, and festivites. It was beautiful to watch the people of Italy come out and celebrate. With Italy being so regionaly competitive, it was nice to observe Italain patriotism, rather then regional patriotism. For the first time, this was a national holiday. Many businesses were closed. I thoroughly enjoyed myself both last night and this morning.
